Exam Clock

Our exams officer kept saying the the students could not see the clock on the hall when doing their exams.

 

So I created a webpage with a flash clock, some boxes to input the start and end time and the centre number. I project the webpage onto the drop down screen and so far it has been working well.

 

Has anyone else done this?

 

One of the exam invigilators said they had never seen this done before and thought it was a good idea. So I was wondering if we are the only ones that are doing it.

We use a piece of software called timeleft. It has different functions available, but the part we use basically is a countdown of how much time the kids have left to finish their exam.

Great idea, and looks great.

 

Although we don't have a wall mounted projector for our hall (we wheel it in on a trolley) but for people that do would be great use of IT.

Any chance you could share it. We have one but it's a digital read out and doesn't look as good as yours.

We've brought a very simple piece of software to do this, it has an analogue clock, a digital readout of the time remaining, displays the start and end time of the exam and the schools centre number. The best bit about it is the exams officer can schedule them all in advance, so all she has to do in the actual exam is load the program, and select the exam they're sitting and all the information is there ready.

 

We've given her an old D600 laptop setup as standalone to run it on, and it works a treat.

I have downloaded and extracted this thank you. However as a note to others I could not extract the files using the native Zip functionality in Windows. I had to use 7Zip to see into the archive.

 

That said our Exams Admin person is very pleased.

We take a clock and hang it off the top of a free-standing flipchart or whiteboard strategically placed at the front of the exam hall.
