Over the last week or two, several of my client machines have been freezing on shutdown. We're all on the same network, and I have NO idea what is causing it.

I looked at the technet KB, but havent found anything of recent (all about 2 years old). Any suggestions will be welcome.

for me the main reasons for slow shutdown are? :-

av scan at shutdown

faulty sound file playing at shutdown/logoff

bad driver somewhere, try sound ones first

.net installed on system

it can be a long job to find the culprit
