john Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Any idea where the periodic table comes from? I might be interested in one! It would be a good education one, and I bet its lighter than the picnic tables they got at work the other month, gosh they were VERY heavy! Yet the kids still moved them until the Site Team fixed them to the ground!
6Foot2 Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) The original Digg article is here: Digg.com One of the replies states that it is outside a building at Wake Forest University, North Carolina. [Please note: If following the link above and looking at the posts and replies please be sure to select 'Hide Profanity' Some of the posts/replies are quite rude] There appears to be no more firm information on how it was made or who made it except this reference on another website: Makezine.Com The inference I take from this that it was created as a hobbyists project. I only left (High) School about 9 years ago and I had to learn about the PT... in fact in one of the Chem exams we had to write out the first 2 lines of the table from memory!! Period Table that's an actual table, very cool, I want one! And that "real pool table" is pretty awesome too
