Hello everyone

Seems we have a problem with one of our 2003R2 Servers (A very weird problem)

Most of the time when we lanch an exe for an example a installation setup file, it says it cant run it. On others we get a box saying what programe to open it in, even its a program itself

Any ideas would be great, if you understand what I have wrote

Thanks in advance

Looks like you have (or had) a virus on that box..... perhaps this will help you on the way:

I know this seems daft but I have seen something of this nature before and what it could be is that the temp dir where all executables are run from is full and will not run anymore EXEs. Just delete all the crap in the Temp dir and run the EXEs again and see what you get.

Let me know if this solves the problem.

C:WINDOWS\temp or C:temp

Have only come across this once and it was quite a while ago just remembered as the symptoms seemed to fit. :-)
