Just did my sponsored sky dive yesterday - re booked to do it again and looking forward to next time !

 

Like the saying goes "If at first you don't succeed , then sky diving isn't for you ! "

I'll probably go back to Langar next time but the NLPC do a mid week special £165 tandem. The problem is if you can't jump you have to come back which is what happened to us, it was a lovely sunny day but the wind was too high. I couldn't keep taking days off work so we had to pay extra, fortunatly as there was three of us they did it for £195 on a saturday.

 

Are you thinking of taking a full course so you can jump solo?

When are you next booked in for?

if you do 8 tandem sky dives you can start to do them by yourself. 4 sky dives after that you are a qualified sky diver . I did some for charity in my youth and got qualified when i got the bug!

Think may / april time but not 100% sure - will check just after christmas.

£1500(ish) will get you a nice little holiday in spain, (flight accom car hire etc) and 18 freefall jumps.

 

On the course you should earn your freefall ticket, so you can turn up at any DZ in the UK (and more abroad) and jump.

 

Google AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) courses. London Parachute centre runs one.

 

(I've not done one, but clocked 7 static line jumps in Germany in 2006, still want to go again)
