Maybe they were overcome by greed or being famous but they are just as guilty, the parents I mean. I am not defending the likes of polanski or whacko but you have to question the parents motives.

It was 30 years ago so he's "done his dues"? What? It doesn't matter if the victim no longer cares. To not continue would send a message to every paedophile on the planet that if you hide long enough you can get away with it. and yes, it's the parents fault as much as anything. What kind of idiot agrees to have their child have a "private photoshoot" with just one middle aged bloke present?

I'm not sure we can say Whacko was guilty of anything worse than niavety or stupidity or both. Unlike Polanski, he never admitted (boasted?) about his crimes.

I know what you're saying but some compassion needs to be shown to the victim so they need to get it right this time. It must be very upsetting for her and her family for this to be dragged up repeatedly so they need to make this the last time. Ironically he'll probably be more heavily punished for skipping bail in the U.S that he would of been for having sex with a minor.

The photo shoot was for Vogue magazine - I don't think most people would expect its photographers to be paedophiles!
