Suggest a Graphics Tablet

Hi gang,

 

I'm wanting to go the next level in photoshop and start digitizing my own drawings, pluss I'm starting to get lots of requests to draw custom graphics.

 

I borrowed one from the art department couple of weeks ago and had a go, but it dosen't feel comfortable and it has limited functions.

 

my budget is £200. Im still a little shaky so lots of practice is needed and a decent tablet will help a great deal.

I got a couple of wacom bamboo (A4) tablets for school. They are very good, proper screen mapping and pressure sensitivity. Plus a dual ended pen allows two tools to be used and switched between easily.

 

Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium - Digitizer, stylus - Wired - USB

 

Pickup up the bamboo fun (A5) tablet for £30 for my girlfriend as she does some of her artwork on GIMP. She loves it.

It might be worth dropping SYSMAN a PM i am sure he would be able to recommend a really good tablet as i think he has one.. and he is a pro

Not an area of hardware that I admitally know much about, but from what I've seen and read over the years, Wacom tablets seem to be the ones that people go for. They've always had a decent reputation.

Wacom Intuos 4, fantastic product. Friend who is a very good digital artist just got one and has gone nuts about it.
