exim Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Hi We have a smartboard 680i with unifi projector that is not functioning. It doesn't repond to the control panel (stays orange), and the projector does not start up with all 3 indicator lights slowly flashing green in unison. Anyone come across this / a fix? The manual does not describe this behavious in its section about indicator lights. Lamp issues show red, so It mustn't be that. I'm awaiting a response from out installer, but in the mean time, any advice?
MYK-IT Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Various options: 1) Power cycle Remove power and USB Lead and reconnect. 2) Hard Reset Small reset button in control box behind bottom right corner of Smart Board 3) Contact Steljes We had a faulty Unifi projector once.

Thanks - had/have done all 3. An engineer will be down next week - pretty good service. Now to put up with teachers nagging "when will it be fixed"
MYK-IT Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Hi Exim. Glad to hear it's getting fixed next week... forgot another thing to suggest: 4) Remove bulb cover and check bulb / connectors We had a fault once that was due to 1 of the (2) spade connectors on the actual bulb unit had come off. Make sure you switch off from mains and allow adequate time for the bulb to cool down before checking.
exim Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Steljes had to replace it in the end, although they came with the wrong projector to start with - UF55 instead of UF45.
exim Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 New old issue with the Smart UF45 projectors which I'm sure is quite common. The status lights going red and the control panel power button unresponsive. Stuck like that untill you climb up and turn off the unit and back on again. I believe it's a temperature warning, but happens every few months even weeks with some units, even from brand new. Anyone found a long term solution?
