CSNM-Carl Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Is it easy to upgrade the battery in the NC10 to a 6 cell?
tech_guy Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 Is it easy to upgrade the battery in the NC10 to a 6 cell? Was wondering that myself. Stopping off at the Coventry branch on the way home tonight to see if they've got any left.
Fatmas Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 The battery life isn't great. My NC10 has the 7-8 hour 6 cell version and it's well worth upgrading if you can
sidewinder Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Is that a good price then? I wouldnt mind a netbook but I keep expecting them to cost a lot less than they do!
tech_guy Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 Cheapest I've seen so far. If the Norton 360 is on a CD I'll flog it on eBay.
mossj Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Wonder if I can get it with employee discount as well.....Is the Samsung NC10 the best netbook at there atm? Might buy one as a treat for myself...
mossj Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 just so you guys know: dabs.com - Samsung NC10 BATTERY LI-ION 6 CELL 5200MAH WHITE (AA-PB6NC6W/E) £100 for a 6 cell battery...
CSNM-Carl Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yes, cheaper to just buy the NC10 with the 6 cell battery...

mossj Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 When did Samsung slip in a 3 cell version??? Simon they have a 3 cell & 6 cell version the ebuyer one is the 6
tech_guy Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Well I got one from Staples last night. Sold Norton 360 on eBay for £20 last night. Ubuntu now sliding on nicely as I type. Not too worried about the fact it's a 3 cell battery as it's only going to be used for less than an hour a day.
mjs_mjs Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 the NC10 is a ledge on a netbook - is it a netbook, cos if feels more like a laptop to me, it's certainly a good buy no matter what. i have the 6 cell version and have been getting 12 hours or more out of it, about 10 playing music through headphones. the xp version they send is quite nice too. i havent tryed the nc10 with ubuntu but my asus 901eees' battery life dimished once i put ubuntu on it - dont know why but aparently it's known that batter life is longer with xp than ubuntu.
