  3. Shame that the guy who owned the Segway company and died whilst riding one around his Yorkshire estate didn't have one of those - mind you, he'd have needed it fitted with a parachute as didn't he drive it over a cliff?!
  4. Joking aside, unfortunately a lot of people do fall for this kind of scam. Usually the elderley or people who are having financial difficulties.
  5. Hey, now there's a thought....!
  6. Have you had a good look in the printer & tipped it upside down and shaken it? You'll be amazed at what falls out of our printers when we do that.

  21. I've been asked to write a report that concerns the used of a shared area on one of our Win2003 servers. This share contains approx. 4,000 folders and something like 100,000 files within them - in all around 35GB of data. In the report they want a breakdown of the top level folder structure and the security permissions set on them. Back in the days of DOS I knew how to do this but I'm stumped. Is there a way to get this information say in to a csv file and thus in to Excel? Many thanks!
  22. Hi, we have IIS set up on the box that we're using to host our intranet. We've put all the web pages and content in to inetpub\wwwroot\intranet but we've come unstuck with telling our main dns box to point http://intranet/ at it. How exactly do we do it as we don't want to mess things up? Thanks. SPD.
  23. Hi, We have one of our office staff who keeps saving all their work locally on their machine in My Documents instead of on the designated network share. What's the quickest/easiest way to stop them and make them only save their output to the network share? I wanted to hit them with a large plank of wood but they wouldn't let me. The client is Windows XP Pro and we use Windows Server 2003. Thanks for any help.
  24. Our Maths Teacher has just gone and informed us that the people who run this outfit have gone bust. Is this correct?
  25. Hi, Is a Celeron M 1.4GHz beefier than a P4 2GHz? Many thanks, SPD
