We have a little annoying problem with system manager in SIMS. We have removed a member of staff as they dont work here any more and we are getting a Warning on the database whenever we try to make any changes. It isnt causing the database to not function correctly, its just very annoying. The error is

"Microsoft OLD DB Provider for SQL server -iser or role 'simsshs_USERNAME' does not exist in this database"

Even if we add the user back into the database we get the same error

Can anyone help us out on this matter?

Thanks

This has only stopped happening to me now that I have moved to a new server. Should have spoken to Capita about it but, frankly I just couldn't face the helpdesk hassle.

Didn't stop anything working so just put up with it.

Try using dbAttach to detach the database, then move the mdf & ldf out of the data directory, then use dbAttach to reattach the database.

Usually does it.

I have this problem happening here with 3 or 4 users listed. Will try the detach / reattach trick

Seen this when we took on SLG2 before I left; happened when an account was created in System Manager but not linked from personnel or whatever. (Whilst waiting for personnel to put people on the system we were pushed to give them SIMS access so this worked as a measure)..
