Everything tends to be dead or stupidly busy. Look after a few sites and one minute sat doing nothing then 6 ring all at once. It's as if the gremlins decide to do co-ordinated attacks on IT workstations/servers at different locations hah. You lot get the same?

Let me guess random prints and disapeering for the network? it was me! lol

I've got a case of invisible printers at the moment. They're shared on the network. The scripts to install them on the workstations work. The permissions are all correct. The print management software can see them.

 

But there are no printers appearing on the computers. *cue twilight zone music*

We get the same although no as much "dead" time as we used to, our users are so demanding now adays.

Always used to find that I was either too busy, or bored when it was quiet.

 

Don't know what quiet is anymore so any time when I'm not run off my feet I'm grateful!

Sod's law dictates that all is quiet and still so you decide to take a machine to bits, or go and sort out a projector, or do something which involves not being interrupted...

 

... and you get the machine to bits and have components all over the desk ...

 

... and in bounces a teacher with an "urgent" problem!
