Crispin Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Quick question, Is there any way to quickly find duplicate policy settings that are applied to OUs? For example if I have two GPOs that have the same policy setting, is there some automated method of finding these duplicate entries? I'm just trying to tidy up my AD and thought there may be some way to do this just to make sure I haven't doubled up on policies somewhere along the line...
garethEds Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 A Google search reveals some stuff but the no software method can be found here: Comparing Two Group Policy Objects Also some discussion on this forum: GPO Compare Tool - Petri.co.il forums by Daniel Petri Hope these help - let us know. GJE 1
Crispin Posted August 21, 2009 Author Posted August 21, 2009 Thanks Gareth, both very helpful links. Obviously my google keyword skills need a brush up. The XML method seems like the most straightforward, will have a play. cheers
