russdev Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Thanks to everyone who came on Friday was good evening and was enjoyed by all... So you know what you missed if didn’t attend... The evening started in the pub first was to arrive was me sat a while drinking then strange man turned up who was thinking either is that Russell or trying to eye me up thankfully he was thinking is that Russell the said gentlemen introduced himself as Indie. Next tony turned up with car full of people well Stephen and Vik more drinking at 10 past 8 we thought we better go and get something to eat (considering we booked for 8 ). Turned up at restaurant and sat down more drink was had and then like in wildlife films with tigers eating dead caucus of a zebra we descended on the buffer at this point owner was getting worried about the all you can eat policy. Much talk of slt and how they don’t understand (more Mickey taking of Tony extended team of 300000 staff) and many war stories including much moaning of rbc and leas. Then a dark force came over the place as Ben aka known as from the dark side(he works for an lea) turns up apologies for being late but got out of work very late. After much winding up of Ben by Tony. There was possibility that this would have to be solved by armed combat if we were not careful but luckily we told Tony there was chocolate cake and ice cream and the beast of corby was tamed Much drinking and eating later we noticed that we were only ones left and think staff were waiting to go home (well it was 11:30) so it was decided after much successful evening to drink up and pay up and then we all started on long trek home. As said was great evening and we should be repeating the evening in a new place sometime soon. Russ

Would have loved to have come along, how about one further up north next time? Right, better get back to painting my hallway, oh what an exciting Saturday afternoon!
