Used fog yesterday to multicast a suite of identical pc's. Out of 26 only 2 successfully booted to windows after the task completed, the others just say error loading operating system. I've just deployed the image to a single pc and it still doesnt work.

Any ideas? Image must be fine, worth trying a remote wipe of the hdd first maybe?

Thanks

FIXED!!

Abit of intense googling found a fix, incase anybody runs into this problem.. You have to change the hdd mode in the bios from auto to LBA

This is a common problem, you should always do this before fogging a machine. :)

yes that and making sure they all have ACPI either on or off to match your image as windows loads different HALS, and your images wont boot if your destination computers are not set the same as the one you imaged.

Has anyone had this problem with an IBM Thinkpad T60?

I have a batch that I'm trying to image and they just hang rather than booting the OS. There's no hard disk mode option in the BIOS (that I can find at any rate).
