Geoff Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 http://www.rickardliljeberg.com/blog.php?itemID=153 Basically what happens (there's a video on the blog demostrating it) is that when a mobile phone is put next to the CD ROM drive and recieves a SMS the Optiplex goes into some sort of power saving mode. You can only recover by power cycling the machine.

GrumbleDook Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Not seen any problems yet, but there is a noted issue with capacitors on certain boards, on some they blow (sure there was a recent thread on this) and on others they dump (possibly creating the power problem). We only have 2 machines with the same board as the GX520s (not GX520s but workstations ... forget which model now) and the only problem we have had with them it overheating ... The 620's will be getting a soak test next weekend and I'll try and see if they have the same issue.
