The Technet servers are being hammered it seems. I'm only getting 300kbps~ Normally get 1Mb+ on Technet downloads!

You had better be right.... :-) I have it as a Virtual PC at the moment but only really played with it for a few hours.

I bet it won't go over the top - is it going to be a complete re-install....if so I had better put a day aside for it.

I have bee told that 7 has no upgrade option at all and you have to wipe the drive and start again.

Installed x64 on my main desktop at home. Fresh install took about 30 minutes.

 

Luckily I ran a Ghost over the weekend so I do not have to download 140GB from Steam again.

 

Looks very, very nice.

 

Upgrading my lappy now.

Just started the download from TechNet.. getting 1300KB/s, so not too shabby really..

 

No Ultimate version for download yet though.. pity - would have liked to have seen it all straight away!
