IM/IRC

I know that most of us have MSN/AIM/YIM accounts but would it be worth having an IM facility within edugeek? or an IRC channel?

Some sort of chat via the web might be useful.

It may be an idea to have a 'live chat' type thingy once a month, for example, where everyone can contribute to a giant brainstormy type session or just a bit of a rant.

 

The contents of the chat could then be archived and kept on the site.

 

Maybe somebody should stick the idea on the WiKi as something to add?

if we're going to have a chat day, then the agenda should be agreed in advance, or it could be chaos. It's my opinion that we should wiki what the most popular topics would be

ok dos_box also thinks its a great idea so will by end of the week have chat stiff up and running...
