mattx Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I've been well and truly beaten - PC to recover a single .xls spreadsheet that was deleted [ the entire folder ] yesterday - PC is Vista Ultimate on a Mirror Raid setup. I have tried so many recovery programs and yet it still refuses to locate the file. I have recovered data from formatted drives before and pictures from memory sticks, portable hard drives etc etc - never had a problem - but it seems now at last I've been beaten !! Even GetDataBack is not showing the file which for me says it all. I don't like being beaten !!

Midget Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 silly question, are you SURE it was THAT machine it was saved onto and not a different machine or onto a shared folder?
Michael Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Chances are if you've tried multiple recovery applications, the data is no longer there as it has been overwritten by something else. As far as I am aware, RAID1 should be no different to recovering data as with a single drive setup.
