mossj Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) Welcome to the Frontpage This is very much a work in progress but what do you guys think, general feel wise? It's geared towards accessability & clarity in different screen res. It's been tested in IE7/8 , what does it look like in IE6/FF? Is it jerky in places, or just me? Edited July 27, 2009 by mossj
PEO Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Welcome to the Frontpage This is very much a work in progress but what do you guys think, general feel wise? It's geared towards accessability & clarity in different screen res. It's been tested in IE7/8 , what does it look like in IE6/FF? Is it jerky in places, or just me? Allot of blue in middle of page making Reading of text difficult. Viewed from iPhone yeap I can't sleep
R0M Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) Looks great in IE6.... but in FF3.5 the white background stops around the line "Welcome To Edugeek School" and everything else is on blue so its hard to read, and the box that says "log in" is in the top right (while IE6 is bottom left). Also the buttons to change the font colour don't work in Firefox. Edited July 27, 2009 by R0M
webman Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Doesn't look very nice in Chrome (Firefox is roughly the same). Doesn't validate.
PaulBM Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 webman beat me to the 'it doesn't validate' comment. Sort that out and I expect some of the FireFox problems may sort themselves out. Also add titles to the links, they'll show up as tooltips on hover and make up for the fact that the icons are very small. It looks pretty good in IE6 BTW.
mossj Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 * all righty then... Validates nicely now, Looks alright in FF3.5, issue with the blue going everywhere resolved More padding added around modules Still having issues with Javascript with FF3.5, seems it doesn't like you saving cookies using javascript or changing which stylescript you use. Menu over header thing should be sorted soonish...
NotSoFast Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Have you tried Browsershots to see what it looks like in different browsers/operating systems/resolutions?
mbhmirc Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Only issue I've seen so far is if you hit a flag you lose the other icons and the search looks slightly out of place on ie8. Other than that very nice clean design i like it
