I need some comparison quotes for a slightly tricky external cat5 run via a catenary to a portacabin. I've already contacted Western Business Systems but Nigel can't get round to me until the 30th. Can anyone recommend someone else?

Ampec every time. They did the Schools' ICT Centre and can turn up at the drop of a hat. Very good pricing too. Ric also uses them!

Ring Eddie Cooper on 01257 271679

@Geoff: Ampec every time for me too. Best to ring Eddy Cooper on his mobile (07779 268224).

Great prices and detailed test results presented with every job.

You've made 3 post and 2 of them have been to recommended one company. I've deleted one of them as your account is getting flagged as suspicious by our members.

NCD - Alan Taylor - use them for anything awkward - 01942 324972 or 07803 934293. Good company born out of another one & they now do a lot of work for JJB (or whatever it might be called now!!) Good mods that aren't so easily kicked in :-)

This is a huge "No-No" the risk of lightening stirke is great. and running a Copper cable across a catenary is not recommended at all. Use fibre or a radio link.

Which is why you put surge suppressors on either end to protect your equipment.
