Not strictly an MIS, but similar.

 

My question is this - who uses it and what do they think of it? Does anyone have the experience of this and Parent Pay? If so, what opinions have you?

 

We're only really interested in the trips, events and dinner money part (along with online payment), and not the cashless catering part, as we're making our own one of them.

 

So, any thoughts would be appreciated.

We use it it here - even have a little printer for receipts

The only big gripe I have with it is this: Passwords are visible to anyone who has access to the tab that its contained on!

Yep, had it at my previous school without the online part.

 

Software's very simple, as Gatt said, the passwords aren't exactly stored securely but it did generally work OK.

We have schools that use this for all the elements that you are talking about and are more than happy. The product is relativly easy to setup and the reports certainly appeared to meet the demands of an auditing team.

 

When we had a demo of SIMS dinner money most of the tucasi schools wanted to stay with Tucasi and put up with the need to run 2 different systems as the ability to use it for more than just dinner money was too appealing.

 

Only downside can be the need to be sure that any address changes in SIMS are replicated across for Billing and the setup is a bit clunky!!

Upgrade to the latest version or at least 2.0.0.7

This fixes that problem and was a concern of mine when we first installed it.

We have got the TUCASI system its great saves loads of time and think about there Internet Payment System! Have recommend it to a few school and they love it!

We use it here and gladly it is one of those things you just setup and forget about from our point of view. We are also looking at moving to Tucasi from Parentpay for Dinner moneh.
