Resetting Password on HP Storageworks FiberChannel switch

Situation:

 

* HP Storageworks 4 /8 switch placed 13 months ago by 3rd party.

* We do not know the password and 3rd party can't remember

* Warranty 1 month overdue and HP said buy new support pack before we gonna answers questions

 

Does anyone know how to reset the root or admin password on these switches ?

I'm only speculating, but I suspect the only way is to reset to factory default.
