Connexions Kiosk

[OverWorked]

We have an old connexions kiosk not being used. Any suggestions on what to do with it?

 

It's large, heavy, has a keyboard, trackball, touch screen and contains a Dell PC (can't remember the model). I've been asked to chuck it, but that would be such a waste of the hardware. We were told at the time of the installation that they cost about £6,000 each.

 

Connexions installed it years ago, but it seems to have become one of those forgotten government projects. We've made enquires through our Connexions rep, but she's drawn a blank. No one there knows anything about the kiosks.

 

There's the obvious choices: games / internet machine, but that would just cause problems. The librarian doesn't want it it the library any more, so that rules out eclipse.

 

Any ideas?

I had to look that up! Yes, a retro games cabinet might be nice. Would annoy whoever's room it was in, though.
