gibbo_ap Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Good morning, wondering if anyone can recommend me a scanner whos drivers/software can be allocated by a package. thanks!
CyberDrac Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 In the past we've have reasonable success with packages for the CanonScan LiDE ranges, these have been created on an RM Network using their packaging software which is basically Winstall LE. I can see no obvious reason why any driver and software shouldn't be packaged sucessfully. Maybe you would be better off asking which scanners people have been unable to package successfully. Later on this afternoon I'll be trying to package up the drivers for the CanonScan LiDE 100 (nice scanner, USB powered), I'll let you know how I get on.
samba_man Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 We have about 40 Canoscan LiDE 25 scanners, thinking about it, not sure on how we deployed the drivers don't think it was via an MSI.
CyberDrac Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Well, the packaging went smoothly, once we have an opportunity to test if it works I'll post the results, we have one more scanner left to be pressed into use and so it'll probably be over the next couple of days.
mrforgetful Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Currently using a HP 7650 and the Windows Fax Scanner inbuilt stuff. Did an A4 240dpi .bmp today. 1.5Gb....oops.
