Oliver BDZ System

Hello

 

We have just had the Oliver Library system installed on our servers. It all seems to be working fine apart from the Z-Cataloguing system.

 

In the logs I am getting the message

 

error starting session: IOException (java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host: connect)

 

Has anyone seen this before?

Has anyone had any issues with the Oliver system and ISA?

Most of the issues we've had with Oliver have been down to the database we imported being corrupted by Alice (the old software not the name of our Librarian).

 

I do notice that there are quite often what looks to me like error messages displayed at the bottom of the screen, but everything seems to work. I think you have to make sure that Java is installed and running correctly, and once I found a version that works, it hasn't been upgraded since (version 1.5.something).

we have had Oliver installed which works great and have had the Library of Congress database working in the z-cats but non of the others seem to work.

I tried pinging some of the servers from home and got no reply,also telnetted some with no joy either.

We run ISA 2004 and have added rules to allow the ports out for the various databases and still no joy and the only results we had were from the Library of Congress.
