We are finalising our IT revamp, and we are moving across to a Sun server / SunRay solution.

 

For our terminal servers we currently have 2003 but can anyone advise as to any justification for rolling to 2008?

 

Info from someone running 2008 terminal server would be of great use!

2008 has a few new features like RemoteApp and TS Gateway which are really handy if you are using them for external clients. Being 64bit if your software can handle it makes much better use of memory and aditionally Windows 2008 is substantially better at compressing the RDP information making it much more economical and quick for remote links along with less taxing on the internal network if your network is really taxed at the moment (RDP uses a tiny amount of traffic either way but 2008 is lighter).
