firefighting Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I want to simple way to display photos in a cycle on a large(ish) screen apoox 36". Similar to those 10" photo frames LCD screen. The area being used to display the photos is not in direct sunlight and low light level. So, I thought I might go for some form of device that I can insert a memory card that will output to an LED project or a large LCD screen. Does this device exist or is there another way? I found this, but is there an outlet in the UK. Thanks for any repliers

Automatic pan-and-scan if you just follow defaults! Insert your music...then just loop the movie. 1
SpuffMonkey Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Can't you just bung an old PC on it with the My Pictures Slideshow screen saver running? 1

I spent Thursday night showing someone how to use the built-in USB and card slots on their LCD TV; why not just get a TV that includes this functionality? 1

No problem with your suggestion except I wanted an "all in one soultion". The ACER EEEPc is small enought to use and has an memory card slot. hmmm, this may just work. thanks
LeMarchand Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 This is a good solution. Where can I find one like this? A quick Google search through up this - not a recommendation, just one of the first results. If you do go down this route, check that any set you get will accept SDHC (if you're planning on using memory cards) - the one I was helping with didn't (and there doesn't seem to be a way to upgrade). The set I was working with was a Philips, but just bunging TV + SD + USB into a search engine should get you a good starting place.

I thought you already had the screen - but if you don't - then maybe a compat TV would do - my Panasonic Viera has got an SD slot for showing photos.
