Dear all,

I currently have the following pieces of kit a MacBook, a Laptop and a Desktop. However, I'm now looking to use just one machine. I'm playing with the idea of using either my laptop and using microsofts virtual PC but i hear it's a bit memory and hard disc hungry or my MacBook but i'm not sure what software to use.

Any ideas?

TIA

I use OSX and due to the work I do in school I run Parallels Desktop for Mac. Does everything I need and at the time was better than VM Fusion - however I have not tried the newest version of VM Fusion but have been told this has overtaken Parallels in terms of quality.

I'm sure others here will offer judgement on which is the better of the products.

Here is a link that discusses the two:

VMware Fusion 2 vs. Parallels Desktop 4: Let’s Dance

There is plenty found on Google discussing and comparing them both side by side.

I would also recommend you use, the Macbook and then VMWare Fusion to run Windows. :)

I have a MacBook from work, and i currently have it setup like that, and it works a treat!
