DIFxApp to install drivers

Has anyone had a go at using DIFxApp to install drivers?

 

I've made the package and I tested it and it worked, but on any machine I try, it dumps the files into my install DIR where it should then kick in the driver installer, take the files from there and do what it needs to...

 

however, it just crashes the installer service and "ends prematurely" quiet or interactively.

I've used it successfully here. Given that I've never had the problem you describe I'm not sure what to suggest. What version of the DIFxApp.msm are you using?

I finally got around to finishing my internal documentation on how I do this and have put an edited version on the EduGeek wiki.

I fixed my issue using Verbose logging with the MSI.

 

I hadn't read through the inf totally and it was asking for a .sys file that wasn't included with the XP download, so I had to get the 2k driver and include that.

Not sure if this is the most up-to-date version. @AngryTechnician would know.

I suspect its not the most up to date version, but the only thing that would have changed is the download locations of the tools.
