Thinking of setting up a Thin Client in on room.

I am Thinking of setting up a Thin Client in on room to start with. We currently have over 800 machines on the domain, but this summer we will be upgrading 24 old machines in our D&T dept. I know nothing about thin client and have as of yet only read small amounts of info on here.

 

The machines coming out are AMD Duron 800 with 256ram 20gb HDD. Will they be good enough to run TC?

 

If we dint decide to go this route there may be 24 of the above spec machines up for grabs.....!

Head over to the conference website (http://www.edugeekconference.net) and pick up my notes from the North conference. There is an easy setup guide that should have you up and running within an hour or two (most of this time is installing Server 2003!).

P133 16MB RAM is the minimum spec for thinstation IIRC

 

you could always turn them into linux clients

They're just going to run the RDP client?

 

If so, that spec is positively excessive!
