Recommend a laptop for parents

Can anyone recommend a cheapish laptop as my parents are currently looking out for one. They are wanting to spend max £300.

 

All they will do is use outlook to check emails and browse the internet, mabye occasionally watch a DVD.

Have you checked out Dell? We use a lot here and I've recommended them to several people as personal purchases - all have been happy.

Neither's going to be really fast at that price, and it'd be worth getting the Dual-Core (even if it is a Celeron). You can get better CPU/RAM if you can spend a bit more too. Other than that check Acer out, they often have some good deals as well.

I'd second that. Have had hands on experience with next one up in this range. Recommended it to a few people. Nice machine for the money.
