In the event log of I keep getting this error (Error ID: 364):

Content file download failed. Reason: The client does not have sufficient access rights to the requested server object.

It seems that WSUS is unable to download the MS Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) and a further 3 additional updates: Office Accounting 2007 (KB946690), Expression Web 2 (KB957827) and Office Outlook 2007 (KB952142). I've tried re-downloading them to no avail. Is anybody else getting the same problem?

Google's got quite a few results about this; couldn't find anything conclusive from a quick look.

Assume the hard disks not full or owt daft?

i have this in leeds schools (identical server setups at home or the office to test it dont generate this) so i assume that in my case lln are blocking those updates for whatever reason (annoying as it means office updates dont download and some others meaning i get an event log full of errors for no reason)

Ah that's interesting as I was having the failed to download, on a laptop at work, thought it was the laptop (it is getting on a bit). I wondered if the size of the download was an issue perhaps. But there again I've had larger ones that have succeeded.

Maybe a question for YHGfL?

not sure if it is the same up your way but for bigger downloads we have to make sure we use updateproxy.SWGFL.org.uk instead of the usual staffproxy.

worth a check?

Certainly worth checking thanks - I only know of two proxies here proxy (for admin) and primaryproxy which is the main one.
