Going to run a COD 4 tournement.

I am going to be running a COD 4 1v1 tournement online for the PC.

 

The low down is this..

 

£2.50 per entrant

 

Prizes are to be determined, but most likely to be 24/32 man servers for varying lengths of time payment free.

 

I am looking to get around 64 players all in all to have a decent sized tournement. Looking to run it over 5 weeks (weekends mainly).

 

Anyone interested?

Yeah sure i'm up for this, just got to find my COD disc as i have not been online for a while.

 

I do tend to play more on the Xbox360 but PC is fine by me.. not too good on there but hey its all about the fun.

Yeah will do, i am part of a community but most of them are Xbox360 Gamers, but if my memory serves me right i remember alot of them saying they play it on the PC too so yeah sure i'll let them know.

Also if any companies want to donate a prize (IE a branded USB stick or something like that) then it is all helpful! All prizes can be added to the pool which I am sure would interest more people and get you known among the gamers of the world!!

That would be cool! I may well be able to do a COD5 after this one if it helps, just I do not have COD5 myself, not sure about my other admins, but will let you know! Perhaps they could offer it as a prize for this tourney?

would you ever think of tournament with other pc games as i have always fancied participating in one but i don't have cod 4 or 5.

yeah. I am also looking at possibly one in Americas Army (which is free) and possibly BF2 (which is like £5 on ebay!). Usually I have only done the COD Series (COD2 was particularly good!).

 

So who knows!

cool. Not sure which maps would be good for BF2 though as the 16 player maps are still quite large! but hey, will think of something!

due to current financial issues with the people who I had hoped to give servers as a prize, the prize pool has changed.

 

It shall now be the following.

 

* 1st place takes 50% of all takings.

* 2nd place takes 25% of all takings.

* 3rd place takes 15% of all takings.

 

5% of the money will go to the cost of the set up of the tournament, whilst the other 5% will go to Cancer Research UK.

 

Also I have asked a few people on here if they can also donate anything so hopefully we can have more prizes to the pool!

OK have asked a few suppliers on here if they are willing to donate a gift (something branded for obvious reasons!).

 

So far I would like to thank CP-LTD, SCL Online and Smoothwall just for replying!! Who knows it could turn out to be bigger than I had hoped!

 

Edutech how is it coming along your end. Are there any takers?

Right tournament is really kicking off now, got over 200 applicants - although not all will make it in i'm sure as i have to do all the relevant Punkbuster checks etc - but the more the merrier.
