Yes I agree, I'm not a fan of Profile Manager however with them allowing Device Based VPP through their internal MDM system i image third party MDM solutions will also be able to adopt it.

Although it doesn't help you immediately it seems as though apple are looking to address this with the release of OS X server version 5 The below is in the Developer Notes for OS X Server 5 Profile Manager • Profile Manager supports new MDM commands and queries as well as Configuration Profile payloads and settings introduced in iOS 9 Beta 1 and OS X v10.11 Developer Beta 1. iOS and OS X • Device-based VPP app assignment —You can assign VPP apps to devices instead of a user’s Apple ID. This allows for the installation of VPP apps on iOS devices and Mac computers without configuring an Apple ID or sending an invitation. • VPP Managed Distribution migration—You can migrate apps already installed on a device from assignment to a user’s Apple ID to assignment to that device without deleting the app or user data. iOS 9 • App installation improvements—App Store apps can be installed even if the App Store is disabled. This includes newly assigned apps and app updates.

Heya, what im trying to do is dual boot Windows Xp with another Windows xp, but what i would like to know is: Is there a way to restrict one of the Partitions at certain times. for example They would only be allowed access to the second XP at Lunch/Breaktime. and they would only be able to choose the First Xp at any other time. Ive spent a bit of time googling but cant seem to find anything, any alternatives you can think of are welcome. Thanks,

Wasnt quite sure where to post this but i figured this would be the best place to start. Ive recently been asked to find some Loyalty management software, ive had a look around a few websites but cant seem to find a good product, ive had a look at ''Lobby Track'' by jolly industries but for the simple things i want to use it for the price is a bit over the top. It would only need to; Register New visitors Check in Visitors and be able to report simple things like attendance,time in/out. has anyone used any software like this before or have any recommendations? thanks.

mmo's are out of the question seing as they will only be able to see the Network as far as the Lan, i guess any game, that isnt too difficult to pickup and will entertain some teens for 45 mins. A racing game that could be used over the lan for Tornements Etc sounds pretty good.

Right, so the schools just spent around 50k kitting out a new room, HDMI projectors/smart board/ tables/ chairs/ Gigabit switches etc/around 25k was spent on 32 New Dell XPS 420's; Q6600 processors and a ATI 2600Xt,2gig ram etc. the boss is hoping to set it up as a gaming club, anybody got any ideas for games baring in mind age rating and the fact computer spec wont matter, money for software is also not a problem. Ive already looked at a few other threads mentioning quake and some older games, But with the Spec of the machines, a few more recent games might help get the moneys worth out of these computers. At the moment the only game installed is Star Wars Battfront 2 as its a PG title. Will be grateful for any help, thanks.
