Hi Guys,

Assuming it can play MPEG2 as well then I'd simply rename the .vob files. You are not going to get any improvement in picture quality by converting it to avi, in fact the conversion could make it worse and you'll probably have larger files depending on how the convertor works.

DVDdecrypter and VirtualDub. Don't like Super at all, although it does offer some useful options. VirtualDub has excellent filter support, including altering the aspect ratio (4:3 to 16:9), which I use at home a lot with my clunky Chinese DVB receiver. It is probably amongst the best for AVI convertion, but sadly AVI is the only output encapsulation it supports (loads of input formats). It's also way the best editor I've used so far (for cutting, you can't splice); very intuitive and simple to use. Edited by Rammie

what I am using is Pavtube DVD Ripper now. It is used to convert DVD to many other video and audio formats, such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, MP4, MP3 compatible with iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune.

I prefer the progam as its after-sale service is good. Last month, I encountered a problem and sent it to them, they replied and solved my problem on time.

So I think when choosing an appropriate program for ourselves, we should consider not only its quality, functions, but also its after-sale service.

Moreover, it's the cheapest I have ever found.
