paulpmp4 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Myself and our highly able technician have set up and installed 3 D Link wireless acces points. They are all encrypted, the SSID is the same on all and they are on separate channels. They work fine in the mornings. Soke afternoons we have a problem. The laptops that are connected to the WAP suddenly lose their caonnectiona and nothing can connect to them. The siganl strength is excellent and all the laptops can see the WAP. Windows there is limmited connectivity or no connection. Any ideas what this can be?
Ric_ Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 D-Link APs strike again! Try a firmware upgrade/downgrade (ensure you use the UK version!) and see what happens.
Dos_Box Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 D-link AP have a bit of a bad reputation here as not being suitable for school use. I wonder if we should drop them a line?
