StuartC Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 just thought it might be interesting to see what people work with. I'm a big fan of messing with my desktop, so lets see yours btw this one i'm posting is toned down a lot, i did have the wallpaper from tiger and a dock program to have a floaty mac osx dock at the bottom. post your work or home one, whatever, this is my work one
russdev Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Here is my home desktop for live view visit the deskcam at http://www.russdev.com/deskcam/cam.jpg Russ
RobC Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Here's my home desktop. I'll post my work one tomorrow (although it's infinately less interesting!).
StuartC Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 i think its just called desktop sidebar (http://www.desktopsidebar.com/). was meant to make your desktop more "longhorny". Now they've removed it from vista, but its still nice to have all that info. I used to have one on either side of the screen (running in 1280x1024). Russ is using konfabulator? yes? Which has just been made free to download because yahoo have bought them out. so well worth a go, but VERY processor hungry. Then again, i suppose most of you guys have a good choice of processors
MkII Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I'd post mine but I guess you're all already too familiar with the classic desktop LOL Love that look Russ btw!
RobC Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Stuart, you're bang on with that. The software is Desktop Sidebar & it's great. Took a bit of setting up to get it working with our proxy setup, but I find it invaluble. And you can see it in this piccy too - this is my work desktop.
russdev Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 glad to see lanview there willlook at the side bar software.. Also tut tut someone got ad-ware installled on work pc... Russ

Dos_Box Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Simply press Print Scrn and open paint and paste it in. I've just tried in on mine and it works.
