Synetrix IPS alternatives?

We are currently with synetrix and pay 4K a year for a 20Mbit leased line. In the view of saving money I am wondering what are the alternatives to synetrix at about the same speed.

 

I am not too impressed for what we get with synetrix; speeds vary quite a lot during the day and the filtering system is just plain annoying. Slow to classify new pages and the web access to configure the filters isn't very flexible.

 

Were you with synetrix and broke away from them?

£4k for a 20MBit line.......! I want one.....! We keep looking at Leased Line quotes and most come in at over £10k for a 10Mbit line.

I've been wondering the same thing. We're with Synetrix/EMBC and speeds can be very unpredictable. Not exactly sure what the alternative is though... it would be easy enough for us to have our own filtering system it's just what we would use for our connection to the outside world.

That's a good price if you ask me.

 

If you're looking for a better service provision you will be paying more for it if you want to retain the same speeds (assuming it IS symmetric?)

Thats actually a bit worrying, as I'm paying considerably more for our connection than that, and it's only 10Mb... Anyone else finding this?
