DAckroyd Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I have a host server running VMware ESX3.5 which needs a bios update. it's running on an HP DL380 G5 and I have the file "cp010156.scexe" I don't know how to run this file so any help would be great (google hasn't come back with anything useful nor has HP website or VMware site) Thanks, Dave
K.C.Leblanc Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Run the file on any old workstation, it might have an option to create a boot CD or floppy that you can then run on the server. 1
andyrite Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 The file you have is for use with HP Smart Update Manager. I've just checked the HP site and there is a bios update which can build a bootable cd. 1
