Spiceworks Security of Info

I am trialling Spiceworks at school, but am concerned about security of the information it holds. Potentially it could be storing all device names and IP addresses, usernames and passwords, and other confidential support information that would make a hackers life very easy.

 

Does anyone know if its safe?

 

is anyone else using it it successfully and allowing it to store this kind of information?
