PEO Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 ...... on the same machine? I need to move the new intranet (joomla ran) from the test server on to a machne that has plenty of file space for future expansion of our intranet.
powdarrmonkey Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Yes, as long as they are using different ports. 1
PEO Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Thank you for the quick responce. How do I give the wamp server a name loike 'Intranet' so when users type intranet in to IE they get pointed to the intranet that is running on the wamp server?
FN-GM Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 another option could be to create a virtual server so both sites can run on the same web server application. So both separate sites can run on either apache or IIS.
jmair Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I currently run Wamp and IIS on the same Win2003 server. Although I only need IIS for OWA, it has worked flawlessly (for the most part) and I love Wamp. *note, i'm aware this post has not true value to the OP, just to help assure that it's not a bad path to take.
