SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 My daughter has finally decided she doesn't like her Nokia N96 and is going to flog it on eee by gum and get herself a "normal" phone. Is anyone hear interested in buying it from her - there's nothing wrong with it she just doesn't understand that its really a portable computer pretending to be a phone Any bid in excess of £149.99 would be seriously considered (she reckons she can get £200 on ebay but I rather deal with a quality person from around here ) regards Simon

bossman Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Aye but the chocolate quality has gone down of late, used to love cadbury's chocolate when i was a kid and even up til late but the taste seems different somehow (tastebuds perhaps getting old deterioration taking it's toll) or maybe the quality has gone down. What do you all think those of you who like chocolate?

What do you all think those of you who like chocolate? Im not a big chocolate eater / fan, but I spent 10 days in Switzerland eating the chocolate there (even the 10p own brand bars from the supermarket were awesome) When i came back my sister had some dairy milk, i thought it was off or something it tasted so boggin (compared to the real chocolate id gotten used to)
Haptic Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 N96? You're better off with a G1... the mrs has got a G1 and i hate it lol much prefer Nokia myself!
tech_guy Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Then you're definitely not a geek then, probably a nerd.
tech_guy Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Mazuma will give you 200 earth pounds: Mazuma Mobile - Sell, Trade in or Recycle your old, used mobile phone for cash.
Haptic Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Then you're definitely not a geek then, probably a nerd. OUCH that was harsh fella, I'm Geek all over honest http://www.sabrina.sg/files/20080415-Bimbo-Geek.jpg
SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Mazuma will give you 200 earth pounds: You can get 199.98 for it on envirofone.com That's why I've said anything over £150 would be seriously considered - I'd rather deal with someone from around here who i can trust rather than a website that i've never used before After all its a phone for geeks If someone has used one of these sites for a expensive phone - could they let me know how it went (turnaround time etc)? regards Simon
powdarrmonkey Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I'm interested. Is it simlocked and do you have the original accessories, box etc? (have to check with the bankman though..)
SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 We bought it from phones4u on Orange and they said it was unlocked. We've just put my wife's pay-as-you-go O2 sim in it and its made and received calls OK so it unlocked All bits and bobs are with it and working and it looks as good as new regards Simon
powdarrmonkey Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Ok, I'll have a sort out overnight and make you an offer if that's ok. In the meantime, don't let that stop someone else having it
SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 @powdermonkey Ta Just wanted to short circuit the 2nd hand supply chain and get the phone to someone who'd appreciate it at a good price for them regards Simon PS She'd like me to point out its her phone and she makes the decisions PPS One more year to go.....

Waiting for apple to see what they do with the next iphone ( hopefully )
SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 She now wants an IPhone but would have to get an unlocked one as she needs the phone to run on her present contract with Orange And she's not going to get an unlocked one for anything like she can afford Prob end up getting a Sony-Erricson like her previous two were regards Simon
SimpleSi Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 OK - so as not to waste anyone's time too much with this. Daughter has said she'll take 1st offer of £200 and won't commit to what the lowest she'll take (she reckons she can get £270 on ebay (dreaming ) I'll stop the bidding at 13:00 tomorrow (Thurs) and we'll see if she sells then! Current (only bid so far ) is £150 regards Simon
StewartKnight Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 If I waqs going to apend that sort of money, I'd get an iPhone! (Sorry Simon, and Simons Daughter)
SimpleSi Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 I think what you meant to say was that's a bargin offer there Simon and if I looking for a phone, I'd snap your hand off (She wants an IPhone but I doubt an unlocked one (with 16GB of course and 3G ) will come into the same price range for her. And anyway, an Iphone is for girls and not proper geeks (Unless your a EduMacgeek and have been seduced into believing all things apple are good ) regards Simon 2
