Reliable print server

We have some Kyocera FS-1010 printers in the ICT suites that I don't want to get rid of. They are ultra-reliable, very cheap to run and we have a load of toner for them. I've been using D-Link DP-100 print servers with them which are ok but have played up at times. One has died and I need a replacement, ideally with usb and centronics ports. Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive one?

Can't you get a printserver from Kyocera to put in the printer?

 

BTW: Your the first person i know of to call a FS/1010 a reliable printer... I don't buy KM-printers anymore.

we have lots of kyoera 1010 , 3800, 5030 all now have the kyoera print servers (bought from ebay for £20) we replaced dlink dp-101+ over 6 months and never looked back.

We've had them 8 years, I can count the number of jams on one hand and they were down to the user. You don't have to replace the drum every time the toner runs out. Still on the original drums and print quality is fine. I'd say that's pretty good.

 

We also have HP2600s. They are less reliable and cost a fortune to run.

we too have got some d-link cheapy print servers. It seems each time they lost power, it simply hangs (or prehaps doesnt get DHCP).

 

Either way... really annoying when the print server is tucked away somewhere.
