Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Its for our 12ft screen. The projector is around 18ft from the screen, with an elevation of around 30degrees. This is what we have already got but its on its way out, quite happy with it up to now though. Hitachi CP X445 1024 x 768 LCD projector - 3200 ANSI lumens Obviously i could look at spec and choose from there but numbers on a piece of paper dont always give you a accurate idea of what a product will be like in real life. What are your experiences. Any recommendations Edited February 11, 2009 by Guest
maniac Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 How much have you got to spend? We have one of these in our hall; SANYO PROJECTOR It's a bit of a budget offering, but does the job nicely for us. I can recommend the higher end Sanyo projectors as well, had one of these in a previous school and it was excellent. Mike. 1
Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Opps, a budget would help. Ive found this, which seems to be a similar model, at £1000 Hitachi CP-X450 XGA Projector - 3500 ANSI lumens - Misco.co.uk So budget = £1000 i guess lol (I dont tend to work like that. I figure out what my needs are and then spend what is required. Rather than work out how much i have to spend then go looking for something to spend it on) Edited February 11, 2009 by Guest
maniac Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 You should be able to find that Sanyo one I linked in the post above for around £1000, we paid just under this about 5 months ago I seem to recall. Mike.
Haptic Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 we have the Sanyo PLC-XU105 in stock for £1090+vat Free Delivery
john Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I have used this - NEC Display Solutions - NP2150 in an install and it was the dogs danglies! Very much worth the cash with its wireless presentation function, great for powerpoints and visiting speakers, set up a cheap laptop or old laptop with it and then dump the memory stick contents on to it no cables for teachers to bend and break off you go, very much worth considering for flexibility
Butuz Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Got a Sanyo PLC XU105 going up in the hall for a 10ft screen - a bit more expensive but wanted 4500 lumens as they sometimes run exams etc with the lights on and the LEA have just fitted brighter lights! Butuz
DarrenC Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Hi there, I would definitely say stick with Hitachi as they are a good quality brand. If you want a decent hall projector you should look at the Hitachi CPX608, 4000 ansi lumens and absolutely superb picture quality.
