Is there a way of having to logon's to Moodle (CLEO Hosted) open at the same time on same computer so I can be logged on as administrator and also logged on as a student in another window to test out things?

I don't know of any way to sandbox cookies like that (because that's what you'd have to effectively do). It's a good idea for a firefox addon though! :)

I will try and explain how to pose as a user while logged in as admin.

Firstly, when you go into a particular course in the top right hand corner (right hand side of the breadcums) you will see a drop down which allows you to change the type of role you are signed in as.

both not the method that i mentioned,

Browse for any user and click on there name, this takes you to there profile.

At the bottom of the profile is a button which says: login as

You then return to the moodle logged in as that user. You can do anything that user can do!!!!

Thats the best way to login as a student, teacher or anyone ( apart from other admins )

The most obvious way to do this is to use 2 different browsers

I'd thought I'd tried that and it didn't work - but tried it again and it worked fine - ta :)
