They've been coming up here urgenty wanting little bits done, updating, uploading!!! lol Almost had 2 teachers crying!!! - I thought get a grip!!!

apoth0r Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I managed to have two inspections last year, one, part of the chaos with me teaching 16 hours a week. Then the ever so lovely peace and quiet of the ICT support team in my new job. I know which I prefer It's really not a nice feeling, so I have a lot of sympathy for teachers as long as they remember their manners
sippo Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 And its good because our office is at the back of an IT suite. You have to go through the classroom to get out. We wouldn't leave the office, as most of the team the teachers would be 'inspected'. Perfect excuse!
DrPerceptron Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Ofsted should be random, I think, in some cases it's unrepresentative. I did find out that... kids know that when a stranger walks into a room, that person might be there to judge their teacher - If the kids like their teacher, they'll behave - even if they don't normally, if they don't... it can get worse.
IanT Posted January 14, 2009 Author Posted January 14, 2009 welll it was the first day the inspectors were in....................it didnt stop in the morning!! people running around, me doing my walk round see if everyone was alright regards to technical stuff...........................then the internet crawls like a dead dog!! why why today!! I hate teachers, they are thick of poo!! get me a gun!

We have Ofsted in today and tomorrow too (seems to be a theme here...) and this seemed to be the day of lets report all the computing problems we havnt mentioned for months. Also lots of sudden emergency requests like setting up projector for assembly and suchlike. Would say I'll be glad when Friday comes, but my boss will be at BETT on that day and I've got BT coming in for 'cabling work' on our broadband upgrade. Think its time to go back to stacking shelves!

I was out by 3PM, had enough lol
