We are looking for a supplier for an integrated whiteboard and projector installation - probably a smartboard. Does anyone have any recommendations or caveats about people they have used. I've looked on Google but apart from RM I didn'tsee any names I recognised and the permutations of price and setup seem endless

Advanced Connections did a fine job installing some equipment for us - think it cost us £1,200 for nicely installed projector and sound, I see they're currently offering a Smartboard package for around £2,000.

For comparison, look at buying eBeams eBeam - Interactive Whiteboard Technology and getting your electrical contrators are to install the projector when they put in the power sockets you are going to need.

 

Should come in at well under the cost of a Smartboard on it's own.

Misco are very good. The major headache with IWBs and Projectors is sorting out any Mains wiring. Usually you have to sort this out yourself before the installation. Misco's contractors (CSL) do all of it. Nice smart job too - just make sure they wire the amplifiers as stereo...
