Hecate Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 We are looking for a supplier for an integrated whiteboard and projector installation - probably a smartboard. Does anyone have any recommendations or caveats about people they have used. I've looked on Google but apart from RM I didn'tsee any names I recognised and the permutations of price and setup seem endless

dhicks Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 We are looking for a supplier for an integrated whiteboard and projector installation Advanced Connections did a fine job installing some equipment for us - think it cost us £1,200 for nicely installed projector and sound, I see they're currently offering a Smartboard package for around £2,000. -- David Hicks

webman Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 We prefer ACTIVboards, and get Promethean to supply & install them.
PEO Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Stone and A2Z do excellent installations. tried both and been very happy
FN-GM Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 This guys do an excellent installation, much better than other installers i have used in the past. Virtue Technologies - ICT solutions from the education specialists, north west England and the Midlands UK

Also, we have just secured unique discounts for Edugeek members ONLY (for Betts, but i'm sure something could be sorted!) with both Smart and Promethian, meaning you'll be making savings! I look forward to hearing from you!
Hecate Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks everyone that's certainly given me a starting point
ANiceEnglishman Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 For comparison, look at buying eBeams eBeam - Interactive Whiteboard Technology and getting your electrical contrators are to install the projector when they put in the power sockets you are going to need. Should come in at well under the cost of a Smartboard on it's own.
7andY Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Misco are very good. The major headache with IWBs and Projectors is sorting out any Mains wiring. Usually you have to sort this out yourself before the installation. Misco's contractors (CSL) do all of it. Nice smart job too - just make sure they wire the amplifiers as stereo... 7&Y
