New network setup

First things off, this is not for work etc. I simply want to try and make a remote access network with which I can acess files and documents via a browser. I have wamp set up, but do I need my own server for this or can I do it all on wamp? I have little or no experience in this department and just doing it to learn and have abit of fun. Is this in the right place to ask?

You probably want something like net2ftp - a web based FTP client
