HodgeHi Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 (edited) OS X Leopard 10.5.6 update has been released. One of the key points in the update is - Safari: Improves compatibility with web proxy servers. For the full list of fixes look here: About the Mac OS X 10.5.6 Update OS X Server 10.5.6 update list is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3192 Edited December 16, 2008 by HodgeHi Added server update list
iSteve Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Ooh. We were 48 hours from starting to roll out a new 10.5.5 image. The main thing it fixes for us from an end user PoV was Safari. It used to instantly quit on any network user's account. Works fine now.
sidewinder Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Suppose the new image route is the best way to go about this, rather than trying to update the existing clients? Suppose thats the way I would do a Windows one anyway!
HodgeHi Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 You could use ARD to deploy the update. If you have access to it that is.
iSteve Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Normally we'd install the package via Apple Remote Desktop. I'm only doing a new image as we have a large amount of new software to deploy, too. This way when we get new machines, I don't have to send out extra packages and scripts to make them current.
sidewinder Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Yeah I've got ARD. Just thought it may cause problems doing OS updates with it. But if not, excellent!
